1. Introduction
Dear visitors of our internet portal:
We are pleased that you visit our websites. In order to make you feel secure and well while visiting our web pages, we want to inform you below about our handling your data. The following data protection regulations are intended to let you know how we deal with the collection, use and transfer of personal data.

2. General handling of your personal data
Protection of your privacy is very important to us. Accordingly, we basically designed our internet presence so that it may be used anonymously. We will use any information obtained and saved during your visit of our web pages exclusively for internal purposes and for improving the design of web pages. If it is necessary to defend against attacks which impair the functionality of our web presence (hacker attacks, Trojans, Denial of Service attacks, spam), we will have solely for that purpose access to your computer's IP address which will be stored – as a security measure within the meaning of Section (§) 100 para. 1 of the Telecommunications Act (TKG) – for seven days by our telecommunications provider.
Moreover, your IP address may be stored for up to ten weeks by our telecommunications provider and transmitted to a law enforcement authority for the prosecution of particularly serious criminal offences, Section (§) 113c para. 1 no. 1 TKG.

3. Usage data / Log files
When you visit our website, so-called usage data will be temporarily stored on our web server as a record, i.e. log files, for statistical purposes to improve the quality of our website. This set of data comprises

• description of the type of web browser used;
• IP address of the requesting computer shortened by the last three digits.

We are using this information to enable visits to our website, also for the control and administration of our systems as well for improving the design of our web pages. In accordance with the Telemedia Act (TMG), the data are stored in an anonymised form. The creation of personal user profiles is thus excluded. Data about persons or their individual behaviour are not collected here.

We do not transmit your personal data to third parties.

5. Cookies
Cookies are small files that are stored on a visitor's hard drive. With them, it is possible to provide information over a specific period of time and to identify the visitor's computer. In order to control your visit on our website, so-called session cookies are solely used which are automatically deleted when you close your browser. There will be no permanent storage of data on your computer. You can set up your browser so that you will be informed about the placement of cookies. The use of cookies will thus be transparent for you.

6. Rights as a user
Regarding the processing of your personal data, GDPR grants certain rights to you as the website user:

1. Right of access by the data subject (Article 15 GDPR):
You have the right to obtain a confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning you are being processed and, where that is the case, you have the right of access to such personal data and to the information listed in detail in Article 15 GDPR.

2. Right to rectification and erasure (Article 16 and 17 GDPR):
You have the right to obtain, without undue delay, the rectification of inaccurate personal data and, if necessary, to have incomplete personal data completed.
Moreover, you have the right to demand that personal data concerning you are erased without undue delay if one of the grounds individually listed in Article 17 GDPR applies, e.g. if the personal data are no longer necessary in relation to the purposes intended.

3. Right to restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR):
You have the right to obtain the restriction of processing if one of the prerequisites listed in Article 18 GDPR is given, e.g. if you objected to processing, for the period of any possible review.

4. Right to data portability (Article 20 GDPR):
In certain cases listed in detail in Article 20 GDPR, you have the right to receive the personal data concerning you, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, or demand the transfer of such data to a third party.

5. Right to object (Article 21 GDPR):
If data are collected on the basis of Article 6 para. 1 letter f (Data processing for safeguarding legitimate interests), you have the right to object at any time to processing, on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process your personal data, unless there are demonstrably compelling legitimate reasons for processing which override the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject or if processing is used for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims.

6. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority:
According to Article 77 GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you consider that the processing of personal data relating to you infringes data protection provisions. The right to lodge a complaint may be asserted, in particular, with a supervisory authority in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement.
